The management of Conflict of Interest (COI) in research is an essential component of this commitment.<\/p>\n<p>The University-wide COI in research management framework is established and implemented in accordance with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/policy.vinuni.edu.vn\/governance-and-legal\/vinuni-governance-framework-guidelines\/\">51³Ô¹ÏÍøversity Governance Framework Guidelines<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/policy.vinuni.edu.vn\/all-policies\/research-integrity-policy\/\">Research Integrity Policy<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/policy.vinuni.edu.vn\/all-policies\/code-of-conduct\/\">Employees Code of Conduct<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This framework ensures that potential, actual, or perceived conflicts of interest are identified early, assessed appropriately, and managed proportionately, without unnecessarily restricting legitimate academic and research activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.Key Principles<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disclosure first: Declared COI is not misconduct per se.<\/li>\n<li>Risk-based approach: Actions are determined by the severity of COI.<\/li>\n<li>RAC assigns one consolidated score (1\u20135) per case, then applies the corresponding risk tier and management measures.<\/li>\n<li>Distinction between non-compliance and misconduct.<\/li>\n<li>Non-submitted COI handled as a non-compliance according to internal regulations.\n<ul>\n<li>First occurrence: Type 2 of violation<\/li>\n<li>Repeated occurrence: Type 1 of violation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Dishonest declaration or COI in research causing harm: automatic escalation to research misconduct.<\/li>\n<li>Escalation mechanism: Repeated or intentional violations result in stricter sanctions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2.
